Warranty
1. Guarantee Period
1.1 Date of Start
- Sea transportation: Starting from the date when the vehicle arrives overseas .
- Land transportation: Starting from the date of customs declaration.
- For special cases: If the chassis is purchased by special vehicle manufacturers and sold to end-users within 6 months, the warranty period starts from the invoice date of sale to the user; if it exceeds 6 months, it starts from the date of purchasing the chassis .
1.2 Specific Periods
- Cargo trucks & tractors: Within 24 months, with unlimited mileage .
- Special vehicles: Within 18 months, with unlimited mileage .
- Dump trucks: Within 12 months, with unlimited mileage .
- Non-road vehicles: Follow the special provisions for off-road models, with key components (e.g., brake drums, tires) covered for 6 months .
- Engine & transmission assemblies: The warranty period is extended by 6 months based on the whole vehicle warranty, subject to the after-sales service agreement signed between the supplier and SHACMAN .
1.3 Scope of Guarantee
Within the guarantee period, SHACMAN will provide free repair or replacement services for faults or component damages caused by material defects, defective workmanship, design, or assembly issues (excluding items specified in Non-Guarantee Terms), which are confirmed by SHACMAN authorized service organizations . Except for specially regulated parts, the warranty period of all other components is consistent with the whole vehicle .
2. Compulsory Service
- Eligibility: All SHACMAN vehicles must undergo compulsory maintenance when the mileage reaches 2,000~4,000 km .
- Subsequent maintenance: After the compulsory maintenance, regular maintenance should be conducted at SHACMAN authorized service stations every 10,000 km .
- Service records: After maintenance, the service provider shall fill in the Warranty Card and Warranty Service Registration Form in the Warranty Manual, which shall be used as the basis for enjoying warranty services .
NOTE: Vehicles that fail to complete the compulsory maintenance within the specified mileage will not be eligible for warranty services . Normal wear and tear and routine maintenance are not covered by the guarantee.
3. Expendable Items
The service life of expendable items is significantly affected by mileage, geographical environment, driving conditions, and driving behavior. These items are not covered by the guarantee .
Examples of expendable items:
- Filters: Oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, coolant filters
- Wear parts: Brake shoe friction plates, clutch friction plates, fan drive belts, wiper blades, bulbs, fuses
- Fluids: Lubricating oil, grease, coolant, antifreeze, battery electrolyte
- Others: Various gaskets, braided hoses, clamps, glass, leather products, silk cotton products
4. Non-Guarantee Terms
4.1 Modification & Maintenance Issues
- Vehicles modified, reworked, or altered without written permission from SHACMAN Product R&D Department (including unreasonable modifications even with permission) .
- Vehicles maintained or repaired by non-authorized service units without SHACMAN Service Department's approval .
- Vehicles that do not undergo maintenance in accordance with Vehicle Daily Inspection and Maintenance Regulations or fail to complete regular maintenance at authorized service stations (subject to stamped service records) .
4.2 Improper Use & Operation
- Faults or damages caused by not using or maintaining the vehicle in accordance with the User Manual .
- Component damage due to vehicle overload or axles exceeding the specified load .
- Aggravated faults caused by not taking timely measures when the vehicle fails, is about to fail, or the alarm system issues a warning .
- Damages caused by using unqualified fuel, lubricating oil, coolant, or non-original parts not approved by SHACMAN .
- Damages caused by improper operation not in line with product instructions or traffic regulations, or man-made reasons .
4.3 Certificate & Seal Issues
- Vehicles unable to provide valid original warranty certificates, or with inconsistent, altered, or forged warranty certificate records .
- Vehicles with broken lead seals on the odometer flexible shaft .
4.4 Other Exclusions
- Faults or components exceeding the warranty period (for vehicles with undetermined warranty status, the manufacture date shall prevail) .
- Secondary faults caused by improper maintenance by authorized service stations (borne by the responsible service station) .
- Damages or malfunctions caused by force majeure such as war and natural disasters .
- Vehicles with faults possibly related to product quality but handled unilaterally by users without identification by SHACMAN service stations .
5. Additional Provisions
For services within the scope of guarantee, SHACMAN only bears the cost of guarantee parts and related repair services, and does not bear other indirect losses or charges stipulated by the government .
